In 2019, China's motorcycle production and sales showed a steady growth trend. The output reached 17.367 million units, a year-on-year increase of 11.5%, and the sales volume reached 17.133 million units, a year-on-year increase of 10%. Affected by the epidemic, in the first half of 2020, China's motorcycle production and sales have generally declined, and demand needs to be boosted. Since March, it has continued to pick up, and production and sales have exceeded or reached the level of the same period last year for three consecutive months. The data shows that in the first half of 2020, the entire industry in China completed the production and sales of 7,142,700 motorcycles and 7,221,600 motorcycles, down 8.55% and 7.05% year-on-year, and the rate of decline has narrowed compared with the previous month.

In the first half of 2020, the global epidemic continued to spread, which had a serious impact on China's motorcycle exports, and the export volume of complete vehicles dropped significantly. The export volume in June rebounded from the previous month, but there was still a big gap compared with the same period last year. Data show that in the first half of 2020, China's motorcycle exports amounted to 2,770,700 units, a year-on-year decrease of 19.69%.
